Breve guía de la obra de Allan Poe

¡Bienvenidos pasajeros! Al inicio de la semana no era mi atención hacer una retrospectiva de un escritor por segunda semana consecutiva; pero puesto que Edgar Allan Poe se está convirtiendo en el escritor al que más publicaciones le he dedicado, y va ad hoc con el tema de estos días, me pareció solo justo compartir con ustedes su bilbligrafia, en parte para poner en evidencia que, aunque es más famoso por sus cuentos, fue un escritor que experimentó en la mayoría de los géneros literarios.

Aunque quizá podría haber sido útil agruparlos por género, consideré más pertinente el día de hoy ordenarlos de forma cronológica, para ver la evolución de Poe como escritor: ¿a cuál se dedicó primero y a cuál por más tiempo? ¿Abandonó alguno en su juventud? Sin más que agregar, la lista:

Aunque es mucho más famoso por sus cuentos, como pueden observar, en su fuero interno, Poe probablemente siempre se consideró un poeta: fue el género en el que incursionó primero, y al último al que se dedicó, siendo también en el que fue por mucho el más constante (sus facetas como novelista y dramaturgo, como contraparte, fueron en extremo breves). Como dato curioso adicional, los títulos que resalté en negritas son aquellos textos que fueron referenciados en La caída de la Casa Usher, serie de hace pocos años que puede servir como homenaje y gran punto de partida a la obra del autor.
